Pack up your belongings

That’s why we offer a full range of cardboard boxes and essential packing materials to meet your needs. We have everything you need to pack and protect your items securely.
Using the correct sized box for your needs will make packing up much easier, plus it allows you to easily stack your items once you’ve moved into your unit.

Load Your Unit
On moving day, transport your packed items to our Hills Self Storage facility. Ensure you securely pack and protect your items for the journey, whether you use your vehicle, a hired van, or a removal company.
Upon arrival load your boxes and items onto a dolly and wheel them directly to your storage unit. Our spacious lift makes it simple to transport your belongings if your storage unit is on an upper floor.
Once you’ve transported your items to your unit, it’s important to arrange them thoughtfully. Place heavier boxes and furniture at the back and on the bottom, with lighter, more frequently accessed items towards the front. This ensures you can easily reach the items you need without having to move everything around.
Moving out
When removing your items from storage the staff at Hills are there to help you. First, gather any supplies you might need, don’t worry packing supplies are available on-site. Begin by sorting through your items. Group similar items together and ensure boxes and items are still protected and well packed. Load your vehicle carefully, placing heavier items at the bottom and securing everything to prevent shifting during transit.
Once you’ve removed all your items, clean your unit thoroughly. Sweep out any debris and remove any trash. Visit the office to let the staff know you have left your unit. They will complete the move-out process for you.
