Q1: Could you please give us a brief description of your business?
Party Squared works with newly engaged couples, wedding suppliers and venues looking for support with designing and decorating memorable and stylish weddings in Essex and Suffolk. I offer a range of styling services and have curated a collection of high quality and unique decorative accessories, tableware and props which is available to hire for weddings and celebrations.
Q2: What are you using your self-storage space for?
The Party Squared styling collection is stored within Hills Self Storage. I use the space for storing, cleaning, and preparing hire orders ready for delivery to venues and then the reverse at the end of the hire period. Once a month have a day where clients book an appointment to visit and view the collection in person, get styling advice and choose items to decorate their venue.
Q3: Why did you choose to store with Hills Self Storage?
I looked at three or four storage facilities in and around Colchester. Hills ticked the most boxes – I was looking for a ground floor unit with double doors, lighting, and 24 hours access as I work weekends. Ben and Ibrahim were incredibly helpful and accommodating from the moment I popped in to enquire.
Q4: How do you see your business expanding in the future?
The hire collection is constantly expanding. To keep my collection fresh and unique, I like to add new pieces each season. The business is expanding as I purchase stock in larger quantities to service larger weddings and multiple weddings per weekend. With the increase in order size and number of bookings I will need more storage; dedicated cleaning and preparation areas; staff to assist in preparation of orders, deliveries and styling and larger transportation. I plan to offer larger décor pieces and furniture in the future and once the above is in place.
